Who We Are

Erie Wind Energy has lease applications pending with the Ontario government to develop a large wind energy site in Lake Erie.

The project is designed to minimize viewshed and environmental impacts while providing clean, renewable energy to the Ontario Power Authority through it’s Feed-in-Tariff program. The site was selected for its high wind speeds, relatively shallow water and proximity to major electrical markets.

Erie Wind Energy (EWE), the registered project name for Wasatch Wind Ltd., is an Ontario-based company focused on offshore wind development efforts in Lake Erie. EWE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wasatch Wind, Inc.
